For my birthday this year, I gave myself the gift of a day of private quilt lessons with the incredible Angela Walters! I felt like a sponge in her home – soaking up her knowledge, skill and humor! When I returned to Atlanta, I wanted to practice all the new stitches and skills in a fun quilt – thus, the flannel quilt gained my interest. The different sizes of squares and rectangles made for the perfect play ground to stitch. I was very happy with how it turned out and decided it reminded me of our youngest child, Lucy. So….for Lucy’s 14th birthday in February, she became the proud owner of this quilt: Flannel Fun! 🙂
