Today one of my favorite quilts is going to a new home. I am happy for the new owners but sad that my wall will be absent of the lovely Kaffe fabrics. This very colorful quilt was created as a “tube” quilt – a quick and fascinating way to make a quilt! I love that the “tube” method results in a myriad of design options. I ended up letting the colors dictate the design to me and simple went from light tones, to medium hues to the dark shades.
The back is pieced with big blocks of colors – including Kaffe and some wonderful batiks! I have a feeling a new tube quilt will be in my future – maybe with different colors and a different design! Happy Hump Day!
